Baja SAE has signed an amendment to its engine supply agreement with Rehlko (formerly Kohler Engines), extending the partnership for an additional five years beyond the current term. Teams can keep ordering engines through the existing portal:

Updated pricing (effective July 27, 2026)

Engine price: increases from $476.91 to $515.00
LTL flat freight rate: increases from $225.00 to $265.00

Please budget accordingly. Under the amendment, Rehlko also reserves the right to update engine and freight pricing on written notice if its costs materially change, so we'll let teams know promptly if that happens.

Payment

Gardner, Inc., which handles ordering and fulfillment, will only accept credit cards issued by U.S.-based or Canadian-based banks. Teams outside those regions should plan ahead for how they will pay.
