Question
This is the document that I am referring to. http://students.sae.org/cds/bajasae/rules/welding.pdf When it says two samples, does it mean two 90 degree and two 30 degree, or just one of each?
Answer
Two samples means one 90 deg and one 30 deg. HOWEVER, if you have multiple welders (people), multiple processes (MIG/TIG) or multiple types of primary tubing (1x.120 and 1.25x0.65) you must have a set of samples for each condition. Secondary members are excluded, but teams are still encouraged to do so as a way to improve welding proficiency.
